(47) views & no recommendations on spark plug wire routing preferences! Any particular brand recommended? I do have headers & this is a small block 350.

I use the Moroso wire looms and run the wires along the side of the valve cover going to the plugs from above

If you have headers like I do on the NOM 454 in my 68 convert, spend the money for the Accel wires with ceramic sockets on the spark plug end. JEGS has them for about $100. I fried two sets of so-called high temperature silicone wires, even with those heat protector sleeves on them. The ceramic ends are designed for constant high temperature and won't be toast after a few weeks like the other types. I run mine along the after-market aluminum valve cover in a 4-3-2-1 wire loom and down to the spark plug- but they would work just as well coming from under the headers, since they are heat-proof. RA

MSD Wires and looms all the way. Don't forget the Kevelar covers to the plug boots. Or go the ceramic route. But do either or.

Here's a photo of those installed. I got some I'll use once I put my headers on. (They won't work with ram's horn manifolds.):

I'm running the MSD 8.5mm wires. I ran them down from the distributor and then back up to the plugs from underneath.

I like my wires to come from the bottom. Moroso makes a kit that runs the wires neatly behind the heads and under the headers. I just think it makes for a cleaner engine compartment.

I mentioned the Denso wires in this thread for general information:

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...ion-wires.html

I don't have any experience with them but they are SAE J2031 Class E rate to over 400F if any of that is of interest.

Since then I've looked further and there really are a LOT of good options out there with wire-wound construction - I suspect it's hard to go wrong these days.

I use the factory routing (with ram's horns).
