Steering column color?

Steering column color?
I have a white and silver 1982 Corvette with silver gray interior. I bought a black leather / black spoke replacement steering wheel. I going to paint the horn button black. So my question for everyone is should the column stay silver gray or paint it black to match the steering wheel?

You're either going to have a black wheel against a grey column, or a black column against a grey dash. One way or the other, you're going to have a clash/mismatch of colors. I'm thinking I'd stick with the grey column, but that's just me.

you asked, ... color match the column, and horn cap. Silver Gray,
go back to stock chrome C3 wheel with Silver Grey leather wrap.
