Default Need Some Convertible Top Help

The car is fast so could be reentry burn...but more likely schmoots from the air or maybe even a little mold. But it's ugly and I have been unable to scrub it off. The top is a Stay Fast, canvas top, 12 years old but in good shape if not for the discoloration. Any advice appreciated--Here's a look:

Light color convertible tops are about the hardest material to clean Busch Enterprises sells this stuff called wire wheel wash. Not saying it will definitely removed the roof stains but it seems to clean white wall tires that are yellowed from age.

That's why I like the vinyl tops better than the fabric tops even though the fabric tops do look better when they are new.

Might be cheaper to dye it than spending money on cleaners. Maybe a steam cleaner could work

Could it be steam cleaned??

I had the same fabric top on my Volvo. I always used Ragtopp to clean and protect it.
Amazon Amazon

Worked great to keep anything from getting into the fabric.

It looks like some kind of mold on your top probably caused by air pollution. For about the last fifteen years in my area we have had something similar getting on everything especially house roofs and it turns a white roof black ( very hard to clean ) but they are selling something now through True Value hardware specifically for this mold . You might want to take your car to them and ask if it will work.

Interesting...I would like to find a way to clean it rather than dye it--Thanks.
