Mathematically, the chances are the same for anyone to stumble upon a real L89.

Its just easier for someone with experience to determine if its real.

Now as for real value, lets look at this example.

At this very moment there is a 68 L89 coupe on the forum for sale, on the first page no less, without the original motor, but it has what looks to me to be a real tank sticker. The car is running and it looks pretty nice.

He is asking 30k and the car has been for sale for awhile.

So how much could this OP's car be worth if the car I described has not sold and is a running car with a real L89 tank sticker? What would it take to get the OPs car to the point I described? Assuming the OPs car is a real L89.

There is a real 69 L89 on eBay by Proteam. I am convinced its real. They are asking 250k. Very nice options. Don't think it will sell but we will see. There are also 2 other 69 L89s on eBay and both of those cars have big paperwork problems. The red version took down his tank sticker (but not before I saved it...) and his protecto plate is terrible (its still on there). The blue one has a totally fake trim tag. Anybody who knows anything will steer clear of those. There was a green 69 L89 on there last week. It was bid up to close to 70k and was a no sale. It had a fake window sticker but may have had other proper paperwork, couldn't tell.
