Hi t82,
I've had my coverage with J.C. Taylor.
I'd think the cost for the 'basic' insurance is quite similar from company to company and you really can't make a price comparison without knowing the agreed value $ amount the policy includes.
Regards,
Alan
You may want to do a search, there were 2 threads in the past week that talked about insurance. I have my insurance through the National Corvette Museum and I have agreed value coverage for 30K on my 72. It cost me 210.00 a year, but that does not really tell you anything because insurance rates are based on your personal data, like where you live, age, driving record, etc. Hagerty, American, NCM, etc will probably be pretty similar in their rates. Just to give you an idea, you can get a free no obligation quote from the NCM to compare to the Hagerty. That would give you an idea if your rate is fair. Some of the people on the other thread suggested regular insurance carriers like State Farm. I guess these carriers now recognize that they are losing business to the classic guys and now have agreed value low mileage coverage.

thanks I did do that search.i am down to ncm or stay with hagerty
Terry,
+1 for J.C. Taylor.
I have an agreed value of 25k on my 68 BB.
I believe I could find this car again same condition for about the same $.
$200.00 annually.
I good with that.
State Farm for 42 years for all my cars, bikes, and home. Right now my 1982 CE, 9,760 miles, never an auto claim, $500.00 ded, comp & coll, towing, trip interruption, uninsured motorist, agreed value of $27,000.00, no real mileage limits other than they don't want me to drive it to work, (I am retired anyway), and not as a daily driver, $15.68 a month. We took it to Tulsa and Colorado last year from Chicago, they have no problem with those kind of trips. I put 6,000 miles on it in one year, they are fine with that too. 63 years old, married, homeowner, no kids in the house. I am listed as the only driver, except in an emergency.
I have mine through Grundy worldwide, a little over $200/year, guaranteed value and up to $250 reimbursed for towing... sadly it's almost paid for itself this year
Just asked this same question. I went to Vette Expo in Texas NCM gave me a good quote at the show. 1 K yearly mileage. Last year I got a quote from Heacock which was 1/2 my current. I tried doing a Google search reviews are almost always a hit or miss. The Million dollar question is what really happens if the unthinkable happens? I've been with my current for 11 years.

Great meeting you in Sevierville! Here is some claims info to save the searching:

I'm with NCM for my 65 & 71 with limited mileage and no driving to work. Other than work I can drive it when and where I want up to the mileage limit.
For what its worth I wouldn't drive any of those cars to work and park in the parking lot I have to deal with so no big deal. If you need more miles just pick up the phone and buy more.
Very pleased with the customer service I get from NCM.
I've still got a couple weeks to kick this around. Adam how much is the increase as your buy higher mileage limits? I was given a quote on a Thousand miles

I don't want to drive to work .and I only drive 1000 to 1500 miles a year.i just want to drive here and there and be sure that I am covered.

Hey terry82, thank you for the compliment!
I was just going on vacation on both of those trips, not to any car show.
My State Farm does not have any real limit on mileage, other than as I mentioned above they would not want me taking it work every day (I'm retired), nor for everyday driver use.
They ARE completely okay for long vacations, and really, any other driving I want to do with it.

Reply to the email we sent and we will gladly send over a 3,000 mile or 6,000 mile option. I don't have your name or I would fire it off real quick. Info@ncminsurance.com

One question Adam, I have a 3000 mile policy with the NCM on my 72. About how much would my policy increase if I drive it to work maybe once a month? (or is this even possible)
BTW, so far I have had the car for 7 months and have put like 200 miles on it.
