Help identifying this engine?
It's installed in a 1974 C3 coupe...
Engine casting: 3970014
Casting date: E24 73
Engine ID: T0602CKW
Partial VIN: 13L229592
Thinking this engine block was never in a corvette.
Thanks,

Hi b,
The CKW broadcast code was used 3 times.
72 Corvette 200hp, 4-speed
73 Camaro and Nova 145 hp, automatic
76 Corvette 180 hp, 4-speed.
The block casting number was used interchangeably with the more common 010 block. I believe it began to be seen in Corvettes during 72 model year production.
Regards,
Alan
I believe the 014 block was cast at Tonawanda not Flint.

Thanks for the quick replies. The C3 it's installed in is a 4 speed manual. Could it be this was the 72 Corvette engine block?

1Z37J4S411831 is the car VIN.
Where can you find the code for the original paint and interior options?
Many thanks,

On the drivers side door jam by the dash there is a metal tag commonly referred to the trim tag. On the tag is the exterior and interior colors. Post them up
