Headlight Height Adjustment
I have a 1971 coupe and the headlights are no longer flush with the body. I was wondering if there is any adjustment screws to raise the headlight door to become flush with the body again.
Thanks,
Luke

There is a clevis that goes through a donut looking thing on the linkage that can be screwed in/out to adjust that. You have to remove a cotter pin (I think) to pull out the clevis in order to do so. It's pretty easy. Trial and Error.

Come to think of it, I believe the 'donut' deal is threaded on the rod that comes out of the actuators. Adjusting that 'donut' is what you need to do.

Hi Luke,
There's a "door closed" adjustment located in the center of the door mechanism.
It's a 'rod' with an end that's a hex head.
Turning that raises and lowers the door.
If that doesn't do it there are some more involved adjustments.
Regards,
Alan

Yes when the door is closed. Opening is not a problem.

The whole door, like the hinge in the back seperated and its equally sunk in on all 4 sides or just the front
