Default Champion Radiator fit into 69 with 350

I have a '69 with 350/350 and manual. Bought a Champion CC1655 and the passenger side lower outlet on the rad interferes with the frame. I see diff pics of rubber mounts that need to be squared off but mine do not look like that, mine are just u-shaped. Question is how do I get it to fit? Do I need to buy the other rubber mounts and square them off? Will those hold it up above the frame? Anyone else install a Champion CC1655? Advice? I will post pics shortly.

the lower rad tube is hitting both the u-shaped radiator support and the frame bracket for sway bar.

drivers side, u bracket provides no support.

shroud bracket hitting tube.

the old rad lower tube is higher up and the reason I changed it was the upper tube was pointing down and the hose was hitting the alt belt. Not the correct radiator, in my opinion.

Also the old rad is 3.5" and the new 3 core is 2.5". I guess the old rad must be a 4 core.

Lots of members here report these fit fine so i wonder if they sent you the wrong part, any company could have a part mix up but fitment that far off isnt going to float

It appears the radiator and core were switched over to a BB so I am returning the rad and getting the BB version.
