I'm reviving my 69 small block and was lying around under the rear fender on the drivers side when I spotted two wires and a connector hanging there, they are coming from the power antenna motor. As I eyeballed the problem I noticed the coaxial cable from the antenna was also severed. Where do those wires come from, how do they get from the radio and mast switch to the actual components? Any help with this appreciated, also where can you get a new antenna cable?
Hi D,
There was no power antenna option for 69 model year cars.
So you're looking at the remains of something that a previous owner added at sometime. Difficult to know what it is at this point.
The original cable for the antenna ran atop the frame rail to the rear bulkhead, then through a grommet in the bulkhead, and along the driver's side of the floor, past his seat, to the dash and then to the radio.
Regards,
Alan
