hello fellow vette pals... can anyone give the the secret of getting the console out of an 82. i thought i took all bolts out but there must be a few hidden ones that are $#@%ing with me. Does anyone have suggestions? thanks
There are three screws on each side of the shift console on my '81. Under the gauge cluster, center of transmission tunnel, and attached to parking brake console.

This is the way the guys did it at the factory...with pictures and everything.

Anyway...much more effective than the "X-RAY GLASSES" you see for sale in the back of comic books! (do they still do that????) LOL
For the young guys...The X-RAY glasses were a pair of VERY cheap plastic frames...with FEATHERS mounted where the lenses were supposed to be.
So you'd look thru the feathers and everything was fuzzy and double!
