Did you get the one that goes in from the storage compartment behind the seats?

There are three screws on each side of the shift console on my '81. Under the gauge cluster, center of transmission tunnel, and attached to parking brake console.

Being as you are new to this..I'll make a hearty suggestion.

BUY THE FACTORY ASSEMBLY MANUAL FOR $19.99 (BINDER IS $5.00)

This is the way the guys did it at the factory...with pictures and everything.

10,000 times you'll say 'I'm glad I bought this!'

Also purchase the service manual if you plan to do a lot of the work yourself. You'll answer a lot of questions before you need to ask here.

The old saying; "Buy the book BEFORE you buy the car"!

Anyway...much more effective than the "X-RAY GLASSES" you see for sale in the back of comic books! (do they still do that????) LOL

For the young guys...The X-RAY glasses were a pair of VERY cheap plastic frames...with FEATHERS mounted where the lenses were supposed to be.
So you'd look thru the feathers and everything was fuzzy and double!

Next is 'Sea Monkeys" lol.
