Default It's Home

I have not seen this car since early October when it went underground in commercial storage. Today was the day: about 40*F and sunny. And rain forecast for the next three days. It was time for the annual 10-mile trip to get ready for what we try to call summer in Canada.

No ice cream on the way home. And the car is snugged down now in my garage. D*** it looks good. And it ran so well coming home. My Lars carb is excellent although it is from a CA Chevelle. He found a un-molested unit for me about three years ago and did his magic.

Not pretty at the outset but the end result is A++.

Well I have finished staring in the garage. I washed the California Sweeper to try to make myself useful.

I'm glad to hear it's home and I hope you have a great summer with it. That's almost like getting a new car every year.

Thank you. I'll try to get some pics as the summer moves on. This year is #150 for Canada. There should be opportunities.

I don't think your supposed to wash a California duster. doing so removes all the oil that traps the dust. unless you are re-oiling the duster...I don't know of any way to re-oil it...you basically ruined the duster and it will not perform as intended.

but of course I could be wrong...

How can you not stare? Yours is another CF favorite of mine and always good to see it return.

Glad for you and the car, Paul; togetherness means different things to different folks and we share your enthusiasm. I hope that this summer unfolds as one of the best for you and everyone up in the Great White North.

Ice cream!

You've got a great example of a '74 Convertible..nice to see it out.
I'm sure people in your area are glad to get a glimpse of it also.

Paul I have to admit, I love the 74 bumper styling.
Congratulations on the discipline of keeping your beautiful '74 in storage this long! We couldn't wait and got stuck in a spring BC Okanagan mountain snow storm!

When I lived in BC (Comox airport on the Island, RCAF kid) we saw snow a couple of times in three years. I guess this year has been just miserable in the Vancouver area and just north. Hope you made it home safely!!

Today here was cold and very wet. I mean the rain absolutely poured! But my Tupperware car was in the garage dry and snoozing. I scheduled (they have to move cars around) the removal from commercial storage a couple of weeks ago and just guessed/picked April 18 for no particular reason. I sure won the weather lottery!
