To anyone considering this upgrade, I'd say my car now moves 50% more air than before. Yes, it's a royal pain to get to the blower motor on an air conditioned 79, but I'd do it again. I was disappointed at first because I just turned the fan on without the car running, so the air was going through the floor ducts, and I couldn't tell much difference, but when I turned the A/C on there was a huge difference. Now, of course I've come to realize I'm low on R12 in the A/C system as the compressor cycles on and off about every 5 seconds, so I'll have to address that next.
