Default 1973 Frame Attachments

I just purchase a 1973 replacement frame for my 1971 corvette.

My 71 frame is so rotted and has been boxed with new steel reinforcement by the previous owner/'s that I do not know if they existed on my original 71 frame.

Can anyone identify these clips that are attached to my 73 frame?

What are they for and are they factory installed?

Thanks,
Jeff

My 73 does not have these on its frame. I guess it would depend on what type of side pipes you put on as my frame has the slots in it for hooker style sided pipes

Thank you to all members who responded.

I will be removing them before send out for sandblasting and powder coating.

Nice to know that there's a wealth of knowledge that can be tapped into on this site.
