Car has never been driven really but has sat the last 2 years while I remodel a house. I had to jack it up this winter to put it on dollies and the rear bushings just shattered. I'm pretty sure they were poly but I could be mistaking them for the A arm bushings.
Did I do something wrong? Can't handle the cold? Should I go back to rubber? Should I have coated them in something?

"Punisher", where did you source those bushings? I've seen a lot of comments, lately, about crumbling bushings. Nobody seems to mention who made them, but I'm suspicious that it WASN'T Energy Suspension or Prothane.....

My Stage V suspension kit was among one of the first things I bought for my vette back in 2010 from Ecklers(before I realized they were a terrible company)
I have don't have the original box the bushings came in anymore so I can't recall what company Ecklers outsources with.
Strange you mentioned Energy Suspension as I just bought replacement ones in that brand. Hopefully they aren't junk as they're about the only brand people seem to be selling at a reasonable price.
