Hi fellow vette owners & lovers. I have 72 convertible manual with a 350. There is a black wire that exits the main wiring harness along the firewall. The wire in question leaves the main harness with a tan wire that goes to the carby solenoid, exits main harness located behind the distributor. Where does this black wire go? Does it go to the TCS switch on the transmission? Please help
Hi DOw,
The lead for the switch on the transmission is long (24" ?) and typically has an unusual 'button' connector.
It's pretty easy to check to see if the switch is connected.
Regards,
Alan

Hi Alan,
Thanks for the reply, the problem is that when I recieved the car the black wire was broken near where it exits the main loom so there was no connector on the wire to be able to determine the connection type or what length it is. I will try and get a photo of where it leaves the loom.
Thanks again
