Got a C3 drag car
Been out of racing for a long time but caught the racing bug again after taking the C7 ZO6 to the track a few times last year.
Found a car the wife and I both really liked and it was a 73 vette.
Has a small block 406 with a powerglide. Can't wait to get it to the track but won't be able to until next month. Supposedly it runs in the 9's.
Anyway here she is.......

Put the chrome bumpers back on the back. That way guys in the crowd can lean over and tell people: "That is a 73, it is the only one with the chrome bumpers in the back and rubber bumper in the front" etc, etc.. Maybe touch off a bunch of history the guys can talk about.

Looks awesome and congrats!
I love the fact that your wife was/is part of the process. Must make it even more fun. Let us know how she does when you finally get it on the track.

I was hoping to have all my licensing passes done so I could make a full pass but the water pump quit working so had to load up early and come home. Turns out the problem was a bad electrical plug and I have that fixed and pump now works again.
Next race is the 24th-25th so will take it back out then. I will make a post and hopefully a vid of it running after that weekend.

Yes it is for weight reduction. Every little bit helps and it all adds up.

Nice car, saw it on-line awhile back. Love that it is a convertible, looks really good with the hardtop. My favorite rims (metal garbage can). Any chance of it being street able? Thanks for posting, Mark
