Hi 1961,
Welcome!
First Post!
I'n not aware of convertible tops having a 'date code' on them.
I believe the rear window was stamped with a date code but it was typically 3 or 4 digits with no letters being used.
Where is the code you're seeing located on the top?
Regards,
Alan

The rear window was a stamp in the plastic that says
regal lite 1H8
Wash with water soaked cloth.

Hi 1916,
The original rear window was stamped VINYLITE.
It sounds like you have either a replaced rear window or a replacement top.
Regards,
Alan

This is an original rear window dated 1 69.
