71 speaker question
Does anyone have experience with buying a DIY kit to recone and refurbish your original under dash speakers? Mine are at 0 ohms. Need new coils. Someone recommended rebuilding myself.

I have done 15 in JBL's for home use. Don't think worth you time and effort. You can buy same as original from Corvette Central or you can upgrade to new 4x6 speakers. I just put in 180 watt 4x6 with small midrange and tweeter. Sound great. Small mod to cut speaker bracket with dremel but still solid and you never see them.
