When i made that reply it was in the vein,
ALL c3s looks great as road race themed mods to me, with no era looking best to me, it might have sounded like i liked early ones best but no, i like them ALL.
But in this case something about this threads car stands out and makes it extra sweet to me in road race themed cars.

You took that a bit out of context

The molded in rear spoiler is very clean and looks more laid back, very nice.
when the rubber bumpers first appeared I hated them, likely because I hated the fact. The government started screwing up the cars with regulations and lowered the performance . The first 78 I saw with that big back window made it worse. Then I saw the 78 pace car and I bought one, because it was the best looking vette that year.then my girlfriend at the time parked it under an oak tree (bmf oak tree) during a thunder storm and crushed the back window and the hoop, the insurance company totalled it and I bought a 79 Z/28 in black with the stripes removed. And turned the vette into a convertible.that was a sweet looking ride.
when I inherited my 79 with the pace car spoilers and painted it red I LOVED it and still do, I don't know what I was thinking way back then but I definitely had my head somewhere it should not have been. I like all the C3 cars as we call them now but that big window makes a heck of alot of sense and keeps the car from feeling like an El camino, think about that a min .that road race theme is timeless just like all c3's

I fit the vintage racing bug last September after attending the vintage races at Watkins Glen. Long story short, I'm now turning my 79 into a road race replica, based loosely on the DX racing early C3s. I love what you've done! Great work. You should do a walk around video and post it. What are you planning for the interior?
