My buildsheet lists my car as a "Corvette 2DR Coupe" 1YZ87 but omits listing the factory power brakes and power steering among the options and extra equipment. It is a California car delivered to Santa Maria, CA. VIN matches. Any ideas about the discrepancy? Anyone else have the same issue? Thanks!

Model year? Power brakes and power steering became standard equipment beginning in 76 and would not otherwise be listed as options on later cars.
In 1979, PS and PB were standard. They would not show on the build sheet. The car was made in St. Louis. According to the Corvette Museum those records were lost in a fire. However, I got them from a company that had access to the microfiche. If you're interested in contacting that company, I can get that to you when I get home (I'm in PA right now). let me know.

I got mine from GM Media Archive Vehicle Invoices, Allied Vaughn, Livonia MI, www.gmmediaarchive.com phone 734-261-5086. I was very satisfied, looked like a copy of microfiche. Let me know if this doesn't work.
I was told by Betty at the Corvette Museum that these records had been destroyed somehow but apparently copies survived. The build sheet matches perfectly my car.
