I own a 1976 corvette and sadly the tires are no longer road worthy do to their age. I was wondering what tires do y'all recommend for standard around the town driving that won't break the bank?
I went with Cooper cobra's 225/70/R15 on my 8.5 inch wide Hurricane wheels. Took a bit to stretch them onto the beads but they aired up ok. They ride nice enough and got them for a deal. Cash and carry. $95 each
The above post pictures are spot on what mine look like.
Not great with computers so turn your monitor on it's side.

I bought BF Goodrich Radial TA tires - 245/60r15 for about $180 each installed. I think a spare is important so I got a 215/70R15 noname that fit in the well perfectly - about as small as possible on a 15x8 rim.
Also considered Cooper Cobras. Had Coopers on my Jeep - good tires.
I used tirerack.com because my local shops seemed to have a supply problem. I was very hesitant but it all worked out great. Nothing but good experience with them this one time. Worth a look.
