Meaning of 1973 Diff Codes
Either
AX N100 E 1
or
AX W100 E 1
3.36:1 what doe the other numbers mean.

W- Warren Plant
100- 100th day of the year. I believe April 10th
E- Eaton Positraction Source.

Bottom of the differential in front of the cover. Soak rag with cleaner and rub and repeat till clean.

OK I looked and my 73 is AWW171E2 which I take to mean is 3:08 gears Warren plant Jun 20 Eaton manufactured 2nd shift correct?
This would correlate to my build sheet which said this car was born July 20 1973 and axle was AW

My 1973 reads WW291E2. mine is a 3:08 ? Eaton 2nd shift?
