Default 73-75 Hood question

Hello all,
I am repairing my 74 hood. Up by the windshield and the cowl inlet grill there are the remains of a metal reinforcement but mine has dis-integrated.
I am wondering if this is original and if anyone could please snap a picture of one in place?
I doubt it is re-produced and a pic would be helpful for fabricating a new one.

These pics show where the reinforcement used to be on my hood.

Thanks!

Yes, that metal strip is original to the car. Here are a few pics from my 73. It is L shaped and runs along the hood back edge lip for support. It appears to be attached with some sort of adhesive.
Hope this helps.

Mine was missing. I packed it full of fiberglass and epoxy resin. No flex at all.
