I'm not sure if anyone can help with this but I don't know where else to go. I have to change the plugs and wires in my 1982 corvette ce. I can see 4 of the plugs can be accessed from the top but I think the other 2 would be accessible from under the car. I broke my back recently and can't get under the car. Is there anyone who knows corvettes in my area that could come to me and do the work here. I would be willing to pay for the hour or so it would take to do the work.I live in Waterford Ct. I don't trust the garages in my area to work on Corvettes.
Any help would be appreciated...Ted

What would you do if you found a forum member and he works at works at a garage near you?
Seriously Ted, I understand how it is to be physically unable to do something. Just a thought but there maybe other forums within Corvette Forum you can post like (Off Topic?)
Ted, try sending a PM to Bill Curlee, he's in Gales Ferry and I'm sure he knows of someone that you can trust in the area, or recommend someone that can give you a hand.
Steve Doten is over in Farmington and is another great resource nearby.
Ted, contact you local Corvette club and ask the president who they recommend for Corvette work. Also, don't overlook a google search for a Corvette shop near you, Connecticut must have several in the state. BTW, C-3 Corvettes are simple to work on compared to the current models. Any mechanic who can't change the plugs on one doesn't deserve the title. Remember this, just like any auto mechanic shop, all Corvette shops are not the same, do your homework!

You're so right about the C3 vs other types of Corvettes. I think by a stroke of luck I finally found a man that races cars and who has some familiarity with a 1982 CE in particular. I have my fingers crossed. If it doesn't work out I will search for a reputable Vette garage near my area.
