Hello All i need some help, i have a problem with the headlights popping up, once i pull the light switch on. The right hand side comes up straight away, but the left just refuses to come up on its own (with some gentle proding it will come up) All hoses are connected right, i am thinking that the diaphrame in the little booster for left hand side is faulty (small hole in it). Can any1 tell me what might cause this problem, it has never happened before so its a new problem for me.

Do try the quick fixes. So what's a little booster? Are you referring to the relay or the actuator?
A few years back after doing all the obvious fixes, finally had my actuators in the 1978 rebuilt which means replacing the diaphragm that is internal. Once re-installed...they "pop" right up as expected.
Your headlamps may be at the point and ready for a rebuild!

Hi hunt4cleanair, this was my main thought as i think these are the original actuators and have come to the end of their usable life. There are not many parts that last 38 years on a car.
