Miata Seats?
Trying to decide whether to reupholster the original seats in my 78 (not pace car) or go with a set of Miata seats. Anyone that has them, likes
- dislikes of using them. Anybody have any pictures they could post with them installed?

What generation?
The first gen seats fit the best- the later ones- I think are too tall.
You can find deals on craigslist- guys usually parting them out or turning them into track cars.

First gen 1.6 seats for sure (90-93)! My least favorite first gen seat is the 95-97 with the flat bottom, I find them uncomfortable. My favorite Miata seat combo, in my 91 BRG daily driver now, is the 95M separate headrest back attached to the 90-93 bottom.
Miata seats (except the 95M) have headrest speakers and a lumbar pocket to store stuff.

I have a pair of 2002 Miata seats I am going to be installing in my 69 Convertible. I will post pictures once I have them mounted.

in all cases with seat mods, install the seats as-is. do not reupholster them until you are sure you can stand them...

Yes I have a leather cover on it, protects it from the sun and makes it slightly thicker. I dislike the really skinny steering wheels from that era.

Seats look good, headrests that stick up too high can look goofy from the rear. Nice.
