Before there was Callaway, there was the Baldwin-Motion Corvette. Their tuned and tweaked Corvette was advertised as "The Fastest GT in the World" in 1970, and they weren't kidding.
Never heard about those before and I think it's the best looking front end on a corvette ever.... Love those Dino style headlights. So did Datsun, I guess, because they put them in all the Z cars up to the 300Z.
Were there other trim levels besides the ones with the different lights in the front? Doubt this one on fleabay is an orig. car, so maybe it rec'd a transplant engine or someone found covers somewhere. I don't know a whole lot about these, but somewhat interesting to see what they did back then.
Back in the 70's I had a 68 Ram Air 4 GTO. Good 11 second car. I was living in Brooklyn at the time and a guy with a 1970 blue with white stripe Motion Camaro pulled up next to me at the light. We were at Utica and Flatlands Avenue. I remember it like it was yesterday. Light turned green and he kicked my butt. You didn't play with those Motion cars.

Wow! I remember when I was a kid that area before even Staret City was built and there were literally tons of junk yards all along Flatlands ave.
i loved visiting those places with my Dad back then.
I think the Baldwin Motion Corvettes are ugly, but I love their performance. I'll take a Yenko car any day over a Motion car. Yenko didn't alter the body other than a stripe package & interior changes ( along with super performance upgrades )
Yup, growing up on Long Island, having my 65 fuelie, along with my friends who also had C2's were always visiting Motion Performance. They also had a great dyno where you could get your car tuned and set for the upcoming weekend. KO Motion was a blast to watch at National Speedway , West Hampton and a real stunner at the 1/8 mile Islip Speedway. I remember when he ran A/sp and I had the mis fortune of running him with my fuelie D/sp for class eliminator at Islip. Friday night under the lights the only bright spot was even chas could not get me off the launch with my 5:38's and his 4:88's. Light went green and I was out by a car and then it was over. Chas ran 7.41 et to my 7.93 still for me it was a night of racing I will never forget.
Great memories!

Yenko added special hoods on the 67 and 68 Camaros. The same hood Baldwin Motion had on some of ther there 67-69 Camaros too. It had the stinger molded in 67 then in 68 Yenko went to a unique hood that had the 67 Shelby type scoop added in. Only in 69 did Yenko not change the hood on the Camaro.
However I don't think Yenko made any special Corvettes.
