I have 2 1970 LT1 Engines. Just curious what they go for. Heads and block have not been touched but intake and carbs have been changed on both. Not really looking for an exact number but just a ball park on there value. Both ready to be installed and driven if needed.

What numbers are stamped on the block pad is there a VIN and engine number ?

what
I would have to write them down and post them. I know they are both LT1's based on one being out of a Vette my dad had purchased and the other was one I obtained in 2008 in a trade and I verified it before the trade.....
Yes, post the numbers off the pad and pictures would be even better. I think that every "LT-1" engine someone had in the past was not. Yours may be a first....and a second.

As others have said, the real value is if you are able to match the motor with the car it came out of. Since one of your two came out of your dads car (presumably the car is gone) then you're trying to match the one up. Possible but unlikely. As Metalhead said above, these cars in many cases already have replaced their motors with high quality fakes. Even if yours are original stamps, they would be scrutinized as potential fakes too, which diminishes value.
If you're not able to match them to the original car, they you have a cool, used 350. You can get a good crate motor for about $2k so I'd put the value in that ballpark as a guess.
i see all the time on Craigslist for corvette lt1 and 427bbc all asking 5 to 10k and even if i had the car that orginally had the motor i wouldnt pay. simply put its only valuable to the person who has the car it came out of and wants to have an orginal restored car or its just another sbc or bbc at the end of the day. plus almost every sbc on craiglist says out of a corvette 😂
a 70 LT1 is going to have 4 bolt mains and the big valve heads, but depending on the statement the op makes that they are ready to run, depends on the state of wear they are in.
I wouldn't pay extra for any cam and springs currently in it.. and since the carbs and intake have been swapped out then they are missing very expensive numbers carbs.
the 70 dated parts block heads, plus the rods, etc..are worth a premium over a used crate motor, but shipping them to a buyer is going to be the biggest cost.

A lot of 1970 010 blocks had 4 bolt mains including truck blocks. The bare LT-1 bare block in no different than all of those. The other parts make it a LT-1 engine.
