Cadillac Cts-v 04-08 calipers
Anybody here looked at those? Seems like a very good price on them for a brembo caliper, need to fabricate a mount for them though http://www.ebay.com/itm/171246785757

Do they require a larger-volume master cylinder?

I'm almost sure he used the stock 89 Camaro master. He did add an adjustable proportioning valve. He's running 1997 Fbody rear disc brakes.
Check Rock Auto. The calipers may even be cheaper from them.

What all is involved in making brackets, sounds like a great idea to get rid of these lousy calipers. If 1 ain't leaking, the other three drained the MC.

To fit these calipers you also need to figure out what to use for hubs. My buddy machined the 89 Camaro hubs to fit C5 rotors. The CTSV rotors have a weird bolt pattern not 4.75".
Google Josh Kunkel 89 Camaro. It's been in a couple of magazines. I think there are a couple of photos of the front calipers.

OK, I am going to ask the question. WHY?
I did some digging and found out the CTS-V calipers have a piston diameter of 44mm and 40 mm (two diameters in front) and 28/32 in the rear..
Source: http://lukeskaff.com/projects/car/th...-measurements/
The stock Corvette calipers have piston diameters of 1.88" and 1.38" (front/rear), or 47.75mm and 35.05mm respectively. I used the Wilwood D8-4 data for http://www.wilwood.com/Calipers/Cali...x?subname=D8-4
The stock calipers are listed as having a piston area of 5.56 sq in front and 3.00 sq in rear per caliper side or 11.12 total front per caliper and 6.00 total rear per caliper (double checked the math for 4 pistons).
The CTS-V calipers are listed as having 8.61 sq. in. (5554 sq. mm) front per caliper and 2840 sq. mm (or 4.4 sq in) rear per caliper.
So, you lose 22.5% of piston area up front and 26.7% piston area in the rear. At least the balance stays almost the same.
The stock C3 brakes are very good. If you want aluminum calipers, get the Wilwood D8-4 front rear or D8-6 front/D8-4 rear combo. Designed for our cars.

Those cost about twice as much or even more, when you also live in Sweden you want to get the prices down, I must pay 30% tax also on everything...
I'm just looking around for good prices, maybe there are other calipers around?
The original crap got to go, leaky and heavy, there are a 6 piston version of the CTS calipers, maybe those? But the are more expensive though

The original calipers work well and if you rebuild them with O-ring pistons, they don't leak. Heck, even the lip seals can be very reliable. The thing that causes the issue with the stock calipers is rotor run-out causing air pumping past the seals which can allow corrosion to build up in the bores.
The nice thing about the Wilwood calipers is that they are direct replacement for stock so you can do front or rear first. I would be very concerned about messing up the brake balance if you swap to the smaller CTS-V calipers up front with stock rears or putting front CTS-V calipers on all four corners.
30% tax... Save my comments on that for PR&C.

Yeah and it's in the freight also.. so a pair of heavy iron calipers isn't fun to import..
I have already a pair of Wilwood in the front, not the direct fit but they have a adapter, but I would like to go with a bigger disc in the front and move the wilwoods to the back.
I have rebuilt my back brakes 2 times now and they are leak free for now but I'm not confident in them..
