Thanks all for the kind words.
I think I really lucked out.
@ed427vette:
Mostly original
68K Miles (Documented)
Originally an export car, it spent the first 4 years (and 52K miles) of it's life with a US pilot in Germany.
In collector hands since.
Not a mint show piece, but it's exactly what I wanted.
Put 100 miles on it this weekend.
I love the way a car that has never been taken apart feels.
No rattles, squeaks etc.....
@jr9170:
I dig the way the relines look as well.
They are Goodyear Speedway Bias Ply tires.
I DO NOT dig the way they ride.
They are brand new so replacing them with the new redline radials will need to wait until these wear out.
I'll mess with the tire pressure when I get a minute.
That will usually do the trick and get rid of some of the "bias ply ride."
@doorgunner:
Thanks! The Boss 302 is mostly original as well.
It's been invited to the Radnor Hunt Concourse in a few weeks as they are featuring original cars.
I think I really lucked out.

@Alan 71:
Not yet but I will.
I did buy the "Corvette 1968-1982 Restoration Guide, 2nd Edition"
The more I read it the more pleased I become with my car.
Things are meeting the specs in that book perfectly.
@toylman:
Thank you!
Alan & Lenny Thanks again for consulting with me on this purchase.
I know I took up a lot of your time but I do appreciate it.
One other interesting thing about when I went to do the PPI on this car.
I almost passed on the car when the seller got in a bit of a twist when I asked him to remove the side kick plates so I could inspect the bottom of the birdcage.
He reluctantly took them both off for me.
I was quite pleased to see the factory green tint primer and absolutely no rust, scale or orange "rust dust" at all.
I also stuck my fingers into every factory hole in the frame.
No scale or "rust dust" at all in any of them either.
