First 5 is an alpha S (1Z67W2S506266) which is the plant code for St. Louis, Missouri. Do you have any original factory documentation with the car (Corvette order, sales agreement, window sticker, tank sticker, etc.)? Any of those may give you a name or the name of the original dealership.

You don't say what year your car is. If it's 1977 or newer you can get copies of documents from here: http://www.gmmediaarchive.com/?page=1

I got a copy of my 1978's original dealer's invoice which showed the original selling dealer.

Another way is to start with where you got it, and work your way backwards. Some states will do a VIN history for a fee.

Just some ideas.

Most states enforce privacy laws and will just give you a copy of a redacted title for your money.

Yeah, I did the VIN history thing in Illinois. Complete waste of time.

Dont give up though. I did it here in NC and got them all. Mine is an 81. Dunno if that makes a difference.
