my 79 headlights wont turn on

It can be a problem with the high beam switch that is mounted on your steering column...either it is bad or disconnected. that is where I would start.

I am not aware of a fuse for the headlights. I am aware of the fusible link that protects the red wire going to the headlight switch....but no fuse anywhere in the fuse panel that protects the headlights. If there is one...that is a new one for me.
