Hi everyone, my name is Darryl and Im looking for a 1969 Covette. Please dont laugh at my user name, or laugh your butts off. It was late and I was not thinking when I created it. Anyway, hi to all and I am looking to reach out to toplsss62. If anyone knows this member can you please let him/her know I have a question for them. Thank you, Darryl

You may have misspelled his User ID. There is a forum member called TopLess62.

to the member who asked; engine, trans and budget. I found a 69 locally. I tried ccontacting Topless62, but was told he has not commented here in 5 years. I read where TL62 and another forum member made themselves available to checkout Vettes for sale for less experienced buyers.

Good luck, hope all goes well in your attempt to get someone to check it for you.
You can still send a PM to Topless62 if you know how to do that. There is a remote possibility that he reviews his PMs, but just doesn't login unless he's got one.
DD, not sure what a PM is or how to do it. Not a fan of computers. Was not my thing in middle school and now all these years later, I still do not. Landline phones and stamps were just fine for me. lol
Topless62 where are you? Does anyone know how to get in touch with Topless62? I hear his name is Peter Hern. Would appreciate any info, or help anyone may have in contacting him. Thank you, Darryl.

Various people have offered you help and/or suggestions. If you choose not to learn computers and simply rely on "landline phones and stamps" you are going to be left in the dark.
A PM is a Private Message, you simply click on "Topless62" on the left side of page and a drop down box will appear. A PM will only work if Topless62 logs into the Corvette Forum, which he hasn't in 5 years. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...nder-head.html
Unless Topless62 has THE car that you want, numerous other people on the forum can/could help answer your questions, we just don't know what they are.
Thank you for the advice. Some have asked for pictures. I have no idea what to look for to take pictures of. Talked to Ed Pennington of Pennington Collision. He named three areas of concern. The frame, the A pillars, the headlight mechanism. Reading last week before joining CV, someone said check the birdcage? That same day last week, there were to CV members who volunteered their expertise in checking out Vettes for less experienced vette enthusiasts. One was Topless62 from Roseville Mi and the other was a member from Warren Mi.

Lets try to lead this horse to water.......
What planet do you live on? If earth, which Continent, Country, State, Territory, etc..?
I would recommend contacting a local Corvette Club or NCRS Chapter, they will most likely have someone that can help you out. This only applies if you live on earth.
Then again you might be 5 minutes down the road from me or another CF member, but how would anyone know that?
Could you provide any more information than "I found a 69 locally". It would be hard to provide less.
Ha, thanks cowboy. I live in metro Detroit. Someone here contacted the member I was seeking. The CF member contacted me and we are discussing a time that agrees with both of our schedules. Thank you for everyones help and patience and wisebutt comments. Guess I deserved them all. Darryl
