Default Shoulder belt retrofit
I'm installing shoulder belts in my 71 convertible and have a quick question. What is the best way to install the boot that goes over the clasp and keeps the belt from going back thru the seat back? Will it stretch enough to go over the clasp or do you have to unwind the belt and run it from the other end?

Hi r71,
Putting the boot in a pan of very hot water (but not boiling) softens the plastic enough that it can be slipped over the clasp end.

How about the reverse? I'm changing to new 3-point seat belts and need to get the boot off.

Bring the pan to the car and Put the whole end in the hot water
