That's kind of a burn.
I bought two 1938 Plymouth coupes a couple of years ago. I sold the one that was rodded and kept the original one. I contacted the Chrysler Historical Society who, also for about $40, will give you similar info. Orig. dealer, etc. Pretty cool info I think. Well, turns out the car that had been rodded didn't have a very clear microfilm left after all these years. The gal was real nice, gave me about the same amount of info you got there for the one car, but said she didn't feel it was right to charge for it 'cause it was so limited. I thought that was real nice of her. I gladly paid the $40 for the full info on the other car. It isn't really much work to pull this info up for some of these historical societies, but when there appears to be almost no info available, they could give the courtesy of warning a guy before they bill you, I think.

That's surprising (that GM Canada was not very helpful). If the delivery information means that your corvette was built for the Canadian market, then GM Canada should have detailed information about your car - information that is not available for corvettes made for the US market.

Back in 1999 I bought my 68 from a Canadian and I knew it had spent a lot of time in Canada, so I contacted GM Canada and they were nice enough to send me a letter telling me that my car had NOT been originally built for export to Canada. Much later I got the NCRS report that listed Riverside CA as the original dealer the car was delivered to.

I would check around and try to find a better contact at GM Canada.

I thought GM Canada had all the records including options for the cars that came through there. I was under the impression that is one of the perks for buying a pre 1977 car sold in Canada since there are no records for US cars built in ST. Louis before that time but Canada had them all.

I am surprised they didn't help.

This guy at GM Canada, George Zapora was very helpful. I think he helped a lot of corvette guys. I bet he is no longer there - probably retired.

Any chance the dealer from Riverside was Friendly Chevrolet?
My June 68 build was shipped to Friendly. Zone 34/172.
Just Curious,
Marshal
PS: any withdrawals since selling the old girl?

looking at the Canadian Dealer codes they are written as 5 digits. US dealers are written as two separate numbers, US Zone 95, Dealer 370. Canada Zone/Dealer 95370. In Canada, Dealer number 95370 is Jack McGee Chevrolet Oldsmobile Cadillac in Ontario. I think I may have figured it out.
