Default E-brake console question

There is a "T" shaped piece that closes off the front of the slider. How is this attached to the console? My console was broken apart when I got the car and I found this part in the mess.

TIA Paul

My e-brake console was all broken apart as well, just got it back together and solid, going to have to cover it in some pebble grain vinyl as it took a lot of fiberglass and sanding to make it sound again and the plastic top surfaces are all smoothed out. The small T-shaped piece has little spring clips attached that hold it fast to the bottom of the slider opening when snapped in place. When I put my e-brake console back together I was thinking of spreading a dab of GOOP on each side to hold in there.

Thanks for the reply. Mine has no clips, I guess they broke off.

Hi Paul,
The trim piece's 'ears' slide into the slots in the parking brake console.
They will hold it in place.
Here a couple of photos.
Regards,
Alan
