Default what part is this?

We are restoring our 69 corvette, took it apart...putting it back together. We can't figure out what parts these are. If anyone knows...please advise.

Hi etg,
They're fastened to the under-body under the seat to guide the belt through the 'grommet' in the carpet.
Regards,
Alan

I found the holes!!!

We put in new carpet so there aren't any grommets. But from what you are saying should I assume they go on top of the carpet not underneath? You thread the seat belts through the indented part...right?

ooops! You are refering to that long plastic thing as the grommet. Ours looks like hell! If that's the case I'm thinking the guide needs to go under the carpet.

Hi Alice,
Yes, the guide goes UNDER the carpet.
The seat belt goes under the guide and then comes out through the grommet.

Alan

If you would have asked me 3 months ago. I would not have had any idea. After 13 years I finally ripped my original carpets out and saw them for the first time. Learning only really comes thru experience.

Default a new mystery

So I have another mystery part. Do you recognize this small bracket? There are 3 or 4 of them. I think I might have misplaced one.
