Hi everyone, I have a 78 that I've had for about 6 months with a ZZ4 engine and I absolutely love it. My issue is with the drivers door sticking. This just started recently and I've done no work there. I've sprayed it with PB Blaster and the latch depresses with no problem but you really have to give the door pretty good yank for it to open. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance
Most likely the striker latch in door frame. You can use a allen key and adjust. While closing door see if it is riding up on it. Also you should see where on it. If the door gaps are correct it is probably an adjustment. Also could be door latch that fits on striker. Could be nou opening up enough to disengage. You can see this by closing it with screwdriver and then using door latch to open? Maybe needs lube
Could be that you also have wear on the inside of your door where the rod that connects your outside door handle to the latch mechanism has worn a bit more...or the retainer clip broke and fell off and now is allowing for increased movement.
QUESTION...when you open it up from the inside handle...do you have to push against the door to open it./...or does it open easily.
IF it opens easily from the inside....then it is the rod from the latch to the door handle or teh lever attached to your outside door handle has wear.

Something else to check are the hinge bushings.
Open the door a few inches and try to lift the door from the rear.
If the door moves up before the car moves replace the bushings first.
