I ll grind the steel fork on one side and see how it will do i need maybe half an inch more travel to shift smooter.i hope it does not bend or anything .i saw novaks slave cylinder with a short fork that looks awsome but thats for later .any ideas appriciated

Don't think you can make it work with a standard GM fork. I also started with the Novak kit but there wasn't much left of that kit once I was done. I modified a corvette fork and made my own bracket using part of the Novak bracket.

The slave cylinder has to be moved forward for it to work in a C3.

Ohh wow thats a great picture i like how the bleed screw is positioned right there i had to dismount the slave to bleed air .what was wrong with the novaks ? I have never had a manual fork .i see the angles of the original fork is opposite to what i have .

The Novak bracket puts the slave too far back so it hits the floor when pressing the clutch pedal. I have no flex in my bracket. It's stronger than it looks.

The Corvette fork is unique and curves much more forward than a regular GM fork.

With a hydraulic clutch there is slight pressure on the TB all the time. It doesn't hurt anything and it's how the hydraulic clutch is self adjusting (no need to adjust it as the clutch wears thinner).

Evren you can buy adjustable pivots, that allow you to move the fork to get the correct angles and movement,
McLeod 16908 part number is the one I use but there are others.

Yes i agree but i got so close to the situation and dont really wanna drop the tranny again.the car ia on Jack stands .are u supposed to hear anything when in gear and clutch depressed? Like brake rotors spinning around the pads with no pressure?

Throw out bearing. Are you under car listening, or inside in seat?

It would work better is the clutch rod was adjustable . And use a spring to pull the fork back to the rest position . Then you can have clearance in the thrust bearing .

That's not how a hydraulic clutch works. The slight pressure on the TB is so it self-adjusts.

Sounds like the clutch barely disengages and then only with the pedal all the way to the floor? If so you will not be happy with it. It will be hard to drive and probably grind in reverse (non-synchronized).

today i made an adjustable push rod for the slave and bleed it again its %100 bled .and push rod moved 1.1/8 " exactly every time and wheels turn by one hand in gear it disengages about few cm before the master bottoms out.i am on break now as i got dehydrated after 6 hours of work under the car.clutch kit is luk brand .i just learnt mcleod's kit disengages much sooner.i dont know why it takes so much travel to disengage maybe i just gave the answer
