Hi 68b.
I'm not sure what you're asking…
"where the radiator core support mounts to"?
How the radiator mounts to the core-support?
How the core-support mounts to the body?
Regards,
Alan

You sure you have a 68 rad support? The newer ones don't have the angle welded to the bottom. https://m.ebay.com/itm/Corvette-radi...gAAOSwPc9Wt~6L 69-72 like this... https://m.ebay.com/itm/69-72-Corvett...9-Bt8VoEZebyJg newer different yet with 5mph bumper stuff. Drop support in place the lower points should land pretty much on their mount points. The side holes mount the nose TO the core support.

the two main legs at hte bottom of the support has a hole in them ...I think you sent a pic to someone earlier that showed the support mount to the frame in front of the stabilizer bar..my frame doesn't have the holes n the frome..I can weld metal there and drill holes..just trying to make sure before I do that

Hi 68,
You really need to look at that thread very carefully again.
There was a discussion about the holes in the forward crossmember for the bolts into the bottom of the core-support.
I believe there was discussion about when cars began to have those bolts?
I think this is what DD is talking about in his post.
It seems you need to have the core-support configuration that matches the front crossmember configuration.
I'm going to say… an 'early core-support for an 'early crossmember?
Regards,
Alan

So it sounds like you have the 68 crossmember. And yet when you drop it in place those two legs are hanging in air? Inboard of the frame? So you may have a non 68 frame under that car.

Hi fellow 68'r - I have a March 68 BB coupe (non AC). I just pulled the core support out of the attic and did a test fit a couple of weeks ago. It was off when I bought the car but it seems to fit fine to the two holes in the bottom of the frame rail right in front of the sway bar.

core support mounting
Thanks guys...I just happened to have tickets to Gulf Coast Cruisin in Panama City Fla.Today..out of 1,000 cars there was one original 68 427 bbc..I crawled underneath and saw where the support mounts to each frame in front of the bolts for the stabilizer bar...apparently someone cut this out of my frame...the car was being changed to 69,so maybe that's why the holes are missing..anyway..I know what to do now...THANKS

The 68 radiator support is a one year only item. GM just used the way that they made the 63-67 Corvette radiator supports and carried over the design for the 68's. They are different than the 63-67's due to the different inner fender design. 68's had cooling issues, so they came out with a different design for the 69-82 Corvettes to allow larger radiators with more air flow.
