Default AC Box Question

Hey guys, I’m at the halfway point of my engine bay resto. And I’m about to reinstall the AC box and my question is what sealer is used for the box? It was a yellow sealer when I removed The box and I wasnt Sure if a seam sealer was used or not. Thanks

Hi JP,
You can use the typical 3M strip seam sealer in black.
It's quite similar to what was used originally.

I bought the seal kit for mine and it included a black pliable sealant in a roll. I wouldn’t tighten the box up to the firewall (either side) until you have the center gauge and wiper bezel installed. A little alignment issue and you will be hard pressed to get the vent in.
