Hi G,
I'm pretty sure there are at least 2 of these tools going around.
One that has it's origin with Terry Fringo (I think), and then this one made by Mooser.

Alan
Alan,
I think I was the first to send one of these out to the CF members years ago. All a member had to do was use the same P.O. box to send it to the next guy (I think $10 flat rate). It made the rounds for quite a while and one day I picked up another Corvette that needed the repair so I traced the tool through a bunch users, found who currently had it and it finally made it's way back to me, after a dozen years on the road, fully intact and still in it's original box!
I think you are correct Alan.
I bought mine when they first came out and, after I'd used it, it was just sitting around collecting dust. A lot of the guys were asking about the tool and that's when I figured what the heck, I'll just share mine. I've gone through a lot of Corvettes but I understand most of the guys here usually have one so justifying a "one time use" tool might not have made sense. Glad others are sharing these as well.
Whoever has the tool, LOL's, I sure could use it, if you can put me in line, I would very much appreciate it.
(BTW, this is for the front cross member dent removal tool, in case anybody reads this out of context, )
I am thinking you can only use this tool when you are doing a front end rebuild and have both spindles and springs out, correct? Otherwise you can not get the backer plate to fit inside the cross member? right?

Hi 20,
Contact Bill, member 1974ta.
You have to have the front suspension unassembled on at least one side to have the access needed to get the 'tool' inside the crossmember.

Alan

Hi Greg,
Well then maybe there 3 around or maybe I was thinking about yours but confused it with Terry... wasn't he the first person to produce these?
It's a oddity because if you need it, you REALLY need it, but you need it only ONCE per car.
Regards,
Alan
I think there' more than that. I bought one in 2008, used it and sold it to another member. He used it and sold it to another member. Useful tool but you only need it once.
I have one used it on my 65 about ten years ago, now it sets in my tool box. You need a big pull bar to use this, I have a 1" drive ratchet with long Handel.
Happy to pay you to ship to Louisiana plus deposit and use charge.

Assume shipping is pricey and you might be in fairly close Alabama?
