How hard is it to pull out the cam shaft with the engine in the car?
So I found a good article and it describes my engine problems to a tee, To much cam on an engine that does not have enough compression to support it compounded by a distributer that needs to be limited on its advance because you need to start with a lot of advance just to keep the car idling.
If it ever warms up enough to get the car out I am going to take the vacuum advance on the distributor to full engine vacuum to get it to advance sooner and this will limit total advance as well If that does not work I am going to an electronic distributor so I can limit total advance. When I think the distributor is dialed in mostly I will start playing with the carb.
