Nice looking car. Just curious, why do you have that battery cutoff? Obviously, it has a weak link being broken, and my concerns over reliability would not let me install a weak link in a critical system like the electrical system. I drive my 77 a lot, and in the winter, I have never disconnected the battery, and it starts every spring. What is the functional purpose or reason for having this in the system?
And frankly, if I felt the need to disconnect the battery, it takes one minute with a 10mm wrench to disconnect it, without risking an on-road failure.

Theres a drain somewhere in the system - if I leave connected for two to three days, battery will be dead. Right now I’m not ready to tackle that - so I just disconnect the battery after driving.
