What years are the same? On reinstall a crack was discovered on the bottom leaf? Can i just swap out the bottom leaf from another good donor spring? Will this present any problems?

Look for a leaf that you're sure is from an original 9 leaf spring.
I should have 'clipped' corners on each end of the leaf at the bushing cups.
Look for the GM letters... it would be nice if it was on the leaf.

As far as I know the bottom leaf from a 68-72 spring will work fine.
Make sure it's from a 9 leaf (not 10 a leaf replacement) spring.
