I have found myself with a variety of parts that most likely would be heading to the metal scrap bin but my wife said "why not make some wall art from it" so I am looking for ideas from forum members.
I am working on the "Flex Plate Clock" first. I have trailing arm parts which might make some interesting legs for a table and a variety of other parts sitting here.
What have you made from your spare parts folks? How about sharing some pictures and ideas?
David, Merry Christmas! We have a 1931 Chevy 19"" wire wheel rim used as a garden hose reel. In the garage, an aluminum finned rear differential cover with "GTO" cast in hangs on the wall, along with the corral off a 65 Mustang front grill, and a couple hood ornaments from the 1950s. But I thought you`d most enjoy this picture of a coffee table base I took at the Daytona Turkey Run......

Just needs a glass top and it is good to go. Cool. Thanks for sharing.
Years ago I made this complete mid year dash. I collected the parts, put a steel rod behind it and hung it in my family room...... well at least I liked it.

This is not sculpture art however it is something I have in my den that is very special to me. It is a photo that was photo shopped by an old friend. He took a two page ad that had been cut out from an old magazine, reshot it into a single photo and then "stitched" it together removing all traces of the edges of the pages. It is an incredible job done by a real pro. Then it was beautifully mounted and framed by another dear old friend. He used an actual wheel cover emblem and inset it into the bottom of the picture. Unfortunately both of those old friends have passed away in the last few years and that's why I say it is pretty special to me. That along with the fact that the magazine ad, which I retained, was bought for me by my lovely daughter as a gift.

Understandably a precious item and fully qualifies as wall art. Nicely done and thank you for sharing.
