Default What's this bracket for?

My 69 vert, base engine, non-ac, has this bracket in the front passenger fender well. What's it for? Washer bottle? It doesn't look the same as what is shown in the AIM.

It didn't have any washer fluid bottle installed when I bought it, and I'd like to reinstall one.

Thanks!
Rick

Yep, it's for the washer fluid bottle.

it doesn't look like my 69 no A/C one , it looks more homemade .

mine also has 5 rivet holes but only three were used.

here's a picture of what I have , seems to be used on a lot of chevs of that vintage ,

https://www.ebay.com/p/1964-69-Cheve...S-GM/657390385

mine also has the black plastic bottle

Have you seen another similar one?

It seems to be pretty well made, but like I said, doesn't match up with any other examples I've come across.

it does look home made but yes it's well done , trouble is now you have to find a bottle to fit it .

the bottles for the one I showed kind of just slot down into the bracket

My rookie eyes see some types of adhesive hwere the screws are located....as though it had an identifying tag glued to it before installation.

It's a non-stock bracket mounted in the stock location. Probably for a washer bottle installed by a previous owner. The 69 AIM shows the stock bracket and bottle and lists the original part numbers.
