So my friend is in Scottsdale this week selling her trick looking pick up, and I've had her looking at the c3 crop while she' there, I've asked her to send pics that I'll post up later.
So here's a cheap plug for her in case anyone is looking ...
That's a sharp looking Fleet Side Chevy pickup. They have generated a large following and become very desirable. It will be interesting to see what it brings with the weathered look.
(Should have kept one of my trucks from that vintage, oh well, sold them for a few hundred dollars, ha!)
We watched Barrett Jackson some as we were snowed in "in Louisiana", an odd event here.
Likely a bias on our part, but Corvettes do not seem to bring the big money like other ones that likely sold for half or a third in the "day". Will watch what this truck sells for vrs comparable Corvettes
However, Mecum prices at Kissemenee C3's looked higher to me.
Thoughts? Crystal Ball forecasts??? I know some never plan to sell, but interesting to see what C3's might sell for.
$33,000 for that 1977 ? am i missing something ? does it have 5 miles on it ?
Well, not 5 miles ...
Lot #387 - This 1977 Corvette has 974 original miles and comes complete with every single piece of paperwork from new, including the Tank Sticker, ink stamps, paper stickers, and crayon marks on the frame. Powered by 350ci 8-cylinder engine and automatic transmission. The car still has all five original dated tires, factory installed air conditioning air cleaner and all hoses. A new AC Delco battery was just installed, as well as new calipers, pads, and master cylinder. These are the only things that have been changed on the car. The original dated coded master cylinder, calipers, and pads with the Delco stamp on them are included with the car. Also included are both sets of the original keys as well as the original Window Sticker, dealer inspection sheet, sold sticker from the window, the dealer’s copy of the invoice, sales tax receipt, tire warranty papers and owner’s manual. This car was in the original owners name until November 2017. The tires on this car are original, and good for show only. You can not drive on them.

Really? That much for a 180 horsepower 77....I own a 91 ZR-1 along with my 73....I think a 90 ZR1 with less miles than that 77 sold for less money than that 77 a few auctions ago......
Do you know if that 68 had a worked motor? Looks like not that bad of a deal....Maybe put together sloppy...
Lot #127 - This ‘68 Corvette has been a race car all its life and its suspension has been altered for racing. It is powered by a 1970 350ci 8-cylinder Chevy LT1 engine with angle plug heads and a super T-10 4-speed manual transmission with a Lakewood scatter shield. This car was raced from 1978-1984 at many Corvette events, autocross races and hill climbs. This vehicle was very competitive in its day and would be a lot of fun at vintage events. **NOT STREET LEGAL**

As always in the sales world something is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I'm listing pricing so the members can see where the values are, the problem is that from one day to the next there are huge swings. Look at the two Pace Cars for example, both look to be similar and I'm sure there are differences but WOW that much! Same with the red 77 as discussed above, good for the seller but not so much when trying to set a realistic value for your sale.
Aunti Kim said it best ... "when the Camara's go on the numbers go up!" Her truck has been given an auction value, will it meet it ... well not unrealistic but if the room has an interest in a great well put together truck ... if the camera's are on, the sky's the limit!
Thanks a lot for the updates.....Keep em coming....85 MPH Speedo for that 1980....Just goes to show how little performance they had back than.......Funny thing is Chevy got the last laugh because they sold a boatload of them...
