Default Fasten Belts Lens

I have purchased this lens from 3 different vendors and this is what they have all sent me. You would think they could get something this easy correct. Does anyone have an old one in good condition that they would sell me? The previous owner of my car dyed my dash including the lens so mine is not any good.

Thanks for listening to my morning rant,
Janet

neither your post or your profile indicate what year the car is?
Is it a 77 to 79?
what do the vendors say when you point out the issue?

Hi Janet,
Welcome!
First post!!
Your photo appears to indicate a center gauge bezel with a fasten seat belt lamp with a place below it for the switch button to shut it off that was used on 68-71 cars. (That horizontal divider below the lens is the clue.)
Are you missing the button/switch?
What year is the car... do you know if the bezel has been replaced?
Regards,
Alan

Alan:
I was thrown off by the missing hole for the button also but I then looked at the 3 variations of the lens and the lens in the picture matches 77 to 79, it says Fasten Belts and your older lens says Seat Belts. Maybe that is the source of the problem she is using the wrong lens.

Hi Mel,
Yes, you're right.
Until we know for certain what the configuration of the bezel is you really can't determine which lens should be used.
I'm not even sure if we're looking at the left side of bezel. I figured we were since that were the seat belt lens is. The headlight warning and door ajar warning are on the right side.
Regards,
Alan

Thanks everyone. It’s a 77. I think I have figured out how to make it work but it is aggravating that they can’t make something so simple correct. I’ve trimmed it down but will need to make a clear backer to keep it from shifting.
