Default where corvettes ever built in canada?

I am looking at a 1967 corvette that the seller say's was built in Canada. I thought they were all built in the U.S.

The seller is mistaken. The 53s were assembled at Flint, Michigan.
54-81 were assembled at St. Louis, Missouri.
81 to the present, Corvettes have been assembled at Bowling Green, Kentucky.

With the exception of possibly 1953, Corvettes have been exported to Canada.

Perhaps the seller meant the car was built for export to Canada.

There is probably a Canadian certification label in the drivers door if it was exported here but it wasn't made here.

NOT ST. Louis, but Ferguson, MO. (where they had the riots last year) actually. Very close to St. Louis.

Did they built Corvette motors at the GM St. Catharines plant at one point?

Seems to me I was there when they started them on propane for the first time.

Here's a pic of my '81's original Canadian sticker that my paint guy was careful not to coverup...

St. Catherines only produced engines and transmissions.St. Therese made Camaros and Firebirds through 2002.No Corvettes were assembled in Canada.

The GM assembly plant at St. Louis was on the corner of Union Boulevard and Natural Bridge Avenue. When I Google it, it looks like St. Louis proper.

Hi,
The Flint Engine plant assembly process was quite an operation.
There were 2 lines running simultaneously.
They produced about 5000 engines per day.
Some days engines were assembled in as many as 100 configurations.
The painting of each engine was accomplished in about 13 seconds.
The engines headed to St.Louis for Corvettes were shipped in rail cars. But, because the rail car held more than the number of engines required at St.Louis each day, the rail car was held in Flint until it was 'full'... typically about 2 days.
The number of parts the machining part of the Flint plant processed each day make the engine assembly numbers look like a drop in the bucket. It ran 3 shifts and required 2 thirds of the plant's space.
Regards,
Alan
